Vanilla - Almond Chia Breakfast Bowl

This fibre-packed oat pot is similar to a bircher. The combination of porridge oats, blueberries, yoghurt, seeds and nuts will keep you fuller for longer. Allow atleast 20 mins for your oats to soak for the best result.

Method

Based on 2 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Mix the porridge oats, almond milk, vanilla extract, yoghurt and chia seeds in a bowl and leave to soak for at least 20 mins. Once the oats have softened, stir through half the blueberries. If the porridge is too dry, add a little water.

Step 2

Divide the mixture between bowls / Tupperware. When ready to serve, top each with the remaining berries, almonds and honey.

  • 25g Chia Seeds 1 x Sainsbury's Chia Seeds 150g
  • 200ml Milk, or any nut milk 1 x Sainsbury's British Semi Skimmed Milk 1 Pint
  • 50g Porridge Oat 1 x Stamford Street Co. Porridge Oats 1kg
  • 0.5 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 x Sainsbury's Madagascan Vanilla Extract, Taste the Difference 38ml
  • 25g Flaked Almonds, totasted if you like 1 x Sainsbury's Flaked Almonds, SO Organic 100g
  • a drizzle of Runny Honey, to taste 1 x Stamford Street Co. Clear Honey 340g
