This recipe is inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Tender strips of beef, gooey melted cheese and sweet peppers are all baked together, then served with crispy sweet potato wedges on the side. It’s hearty, indulgent and perfect for when you’re craving comfort food.
Method
Based on 2 servings, adjust as needed.
Step 1
Add the sweet potato wedges, paprika, garlic granules, a pinch of salt and pepper and half of the olive oil to the large glass dish of the portable air fryer, without the tray. Mix until fully coated.
Step 2
Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a bowl, toss the beef strips with the remaining oil and a pinch
of salt and pepper.
Step 4
After 10 minutes, place the air fryer tray on top of the sweet potato wedges.
Add the beef, peppers and onion to the tray.
Step 5
Air fry for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time, until the beef
is cooked and the veg has softened.
Step 6
Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the beef and veg. Air fry for 2–3 minutes until melted and bubbling. Serve the sweet potato wedges topped with the cheesy veg and steak.
