Chewy Raspberry Oat Bars recipe by Tiffany Hall

Ideal for lunchboxes, post-workout fuel or an afternoon pick-me-up, these bars are delicious served straight from the fridge or at room temperature. They're low in added sugar, naturally low in fat and suitable for the whole family, making them a great recipe to bake ahead and keep on hand for healthy snacking throughout the week.

Method

Based on 6 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Line a square 20 cm (8 inch) baking tin with baking paper.

Step 2

Combine the apple puree, maple syrup, banana and vanilla in a bowl. Add the oats and chia seeds, and mix to combine. Gently fold through the raspberries and transfer the mixture to the prepared tin. Press down gently with the back of a spoon to even out and smooth the top.

Step 3

Bake for 20 minutes then cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into 6 bars.
