Easiest Ever Paella

Think paella's too much of a challenge? Think again, this easy recipe makes it foolproof and is full of fantastic flavour

Method

Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Make sure you have defrosted the seafood mix.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan, then soften the leek for 5 mins without browning. Add the chorizo and fry until it releases its oils. Stir in the turmeric and rice until coated by the oils, then pour in the stock. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 mins, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Tip in the peas and cook for 5 mins, then stir in the seafood to heat through for a final 1-2 mins cooking or until rice is cooked. Check for seasoning and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

  • 1 Leek, sliced 1 x Sainsbury's Leeks Loose
  • 110g Chorizo sausage, chopped 1 x Sainsbury's Spanish Chorizo Ring 225g
  • 1 tsp Turmeric 1 x Sainsbury's Turmeric 48g
  • 400g Frozen Seafood Mix, defrosted 2 x Sainsbury's Frozen Cooked Seafood Selection 300g
  • Lemon wedges, to serve 1 x Sainsbury's Lemons
  • 200g Frozen Peas 1 x Sainsbury's Garden Peas 910g
  • Maldon Salt, to taste 1 x Maldon Sea Salt Flakes 250g
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil 1 x Sainsbury's Olive Oil, Extra Virgin 250ml
  • 300g Long Grain Rice 1 x Sainsbury's Easy Cook Long Grain White Rice 500g
