Cheesy Ham and Broccoli Pasta

Satisfy your comfort food cravings with this cheap and easy creamy pasta dish with chunks of ham and crunchy vegetables. Simple but effective when time is not on your side.

Method

Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Bring a large pan of water to the boil and cook the pasta following pack instructions, adding the broccoli florets to the pan for the final 4 mins. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Meanwhile, make the sauce. Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the onion for 5 mins to soften, then stir in the garlic and cook for 1 min more. Stir in the ham, cream and mustard, then bring to the boil. Add the pasta and broccoli, then stir in the cheese, coating everything in the sauce.

  • 1tbsp Oil 1 x Sainsbury's Olive Oil 500ml
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, crushed 1 x Sainsbury's Garlic
  • 140g Mature Cheddar, grated 1 x Sainsbury's British Mature Grated Cheddar Cheese 250g
  • 400g Pasta, we used conchiglie 1 x Sainsbury's Conchiglie Shells Pasta 500g
  • 1 head Broccoli, cut into small florets 1 x Sainsbury's Broccoli Loose
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped 1 x Sainsbury's Onions Loose
  • 250g Ham, cut into chunks 1 x Sainsbury's British Honey Roast Thick Cut Ham 120g, x4 Slices
  • 300ml Double Cream 1 x Sainsbury's Double Cream 300ml
