Who doesn’t love a tray of hearty nachos? Everything is made from scratch in this simple yet substantial recipe - it makes a great sharing starter or can form part of a main meal.

Method

Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (325°F).

Step 2

Combine the chilli powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Heat a large frying pan over a medium heat and cook the minced beef and spices for 5–10 minutes, or until the meat is browned all over, breaking up the beef as you go.

Step 3

Arrange half the tortilla chips in the base of the air fryer drawer or in a deep heatproof dish that fits in the air fryer. Top with half the cheese, half the beef and half the tomato and red pepper. Repeat the layers to use the remaining ingredients, then pop into the air fryer for 5 minutes. Serve with the soured cream and spring onion on top.
