Overnight Black Forest Oats

Deliciously indulgent overnight oats, loaded with fruits, nuts and a hint of cocoa for richness. make this recipe on a Sunday night to see you through the week and take all the stress out of breakfast decisions.

Method

Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Drain the cherries and pop them to one side.

Step 2

Into a large bowl tip in the oats, ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, chopped pecans, honey, milk and yoghurt. Mix well before folding in the grated pears (no need to peel).

Step 3

Divide the mixture between 200ml glass jars or just into a larger Tupperware, top with the cherries and place on a lid. Enjoy for breakfast, daily.

  • 2 Pears, grated with skin on 2x Sainsbury's Conference Pear Single
  • 60g Chopped Pecans, or any nuts 1x Sainsbury's Mammoth Pecans 100g
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon 1x Sainsbury's Ground Cinnamon 38g
  • 200ml Milk, or a plant milk 1x Sainsbury's British Whole Milk 568ml (1 pint)
  • 4 heaped tbsp Greek Yoghurt, or a plant based yoghurt alternative 1x Sainsbury's Greek Style Natural Yogurt 200g
  • 1.5 tbsp Cocoa Powder 1x Green & Black's Organic Cocoa Powder 125g
  • 100g Oats 1x Sainsbury's Scottish Porridge Oats 1kg
  • 1 tbsp Runny Honey 1x Stamford Street Co. Clear Honey 340g
