Baked Feta Pasta "TikTok" Inspired

Behold, the TikTok sensation that is baked feta pasta, with a record 1.1 billions hits! What a eureka moment the TikTok star, Aaron Hutcherson, must have had when he realised that feta transforms into a silky sauce when roasted with tomatoes and garlic. This dish is just so satisfying to cook and eat, we urge you to jump on the baked feta TikTok train with us and give it a go!

Method

Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200oC/180oC Fan. Place the baby plum tomatoes into a baking dish and add **feta ** (whole). Drizzle with olive oil, chilli flakes, chopped garlic, and season generously with pepper, no salt as the feta is salty enough, and bake for 30 minutes.

Step 2

For the final 10 minutes of cooking, boil the pasta in salted water until just tender.

Step 3

Remove the feta from the oven, add the torn basil leaves, tip in the cooked pasta and toss well until you create a silky sauce. Serve immediately. It's as simple as that!

  • 30g Basil, leaves torn, stalks removed 1x Sainsbury's Fresh Packed Basil 30g
  • 650g Baby Plum Tomatoes, cut in half 2x Sainsbury's Baby Plum Tomatoes 325g
  • 0.5 tsp Chilli Flakes 1x Sainsbury's Chipotle Chilli Flakes 45g
  • 200g Feta Cheese 1x Sainsbury's Greek Feta Cheese 200g
  • 500g Casarecce Pasta, or any dried pasta 1x Sainsbury's Casarecce Pasta, Taste the Difference 500g
  • 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1x Sainsbury's Olive Oil, Extra Virgin 500ml
  • Maldon Salt, to taste 1x Maldon Sea Salt Flakes 250g
