This quick and tasty dish gives halloumi a sticky, savoury twist with chilli jam, soy, and sesame. Cooked in the air fryer with crisp veg, it’s a simple way to add big flavour to a weeknight meal. Serve with rice or noodles and you’re good to go.

Place the black or white sesame seeds on a plate, then roll the halloumi strips in the seeds to coat. Place in a single layer in a preheated air fryer, spritz with oil and cook at 190°C (375°F) for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the tomato chilli jam, soy sauce, vinegar and grated ginger in a small bowl and set aside.
Turn the halloumi pieces over, then add the carrots and broccoli to the air fryer, spritz with a little more oil and cook for a further 4–5 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the vegetables are tender and the halloumi golden.
Transfer the vegetables and halloumi to an ovenproof dish, pour over the sauce and stir gently to coat. Place the dish in the air fryer and cook for 2–3 minutes, until sticky and well-coated. Sprinkle with the sliced spring onions and serve with the rice cooked according to the packet instructions or noodles.
