Once again, we have been busy thinking about all the essentials you might need to make your Christmas day extra special and now, more importantly, we can help ease the stress of having to remember 101 things. We have pre-selected our favourite Christmas day nibbles and party foods which should keep you and your guests going well into the early hours. Not forgetting the essential bag of easy-peel satsumas for the kids' Christmas stockings and a mince pie for Father Christmas!
Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.
As you can see, this is more of a selection of delicious bits and bobs rather than a recipe. However, timings on Christmas day are always the thing that most fall down on. So, have a think about when you want to serve certain goodies/treats on the day, around the main show stopper that is the Christmas feast.
Get the satsumas and caramelised nuts into a bowl on Christmas eve and make sure you tuck in whilst finishing off the wrapping! A few cheeky Quality Street will also go down well we are sure! The mini mince pies are of course for Father Christmas 🎅.
When your guests arrive on the big day, it might be nice to serve a few little canapes. We love these Sainsbury's Cheddar and Confit Onion Bites and their Festive Vol Au Vents. Bake at 200C/180C fan for 12 minutes.
Once your guests are well and truly stuffed and you are about to bring out the board games, how about popping this amazing Sticky Fig and Port Baked Camembert into the oven at 190C/170C fan for 25 minute and serving with a warm baguette, because we know you haven't had enough carbs just yet?!
