π Please remember to defrost your pizza dough overnight or the morning before. Who needs takeaway pizza when making them is such fun! 'Nduja, the spicy Calabrian cured pork & chilli paste, is one of our favourite pizza toppings and goes so well with melted mozzarella. But don't feel you have to stop there, other toppings like mushrooms, sliced onions, broccoli, kale, spinach, even a fried egg make great additions - this is your chance to make your pizza dreams come true! Kids love making pizza too, so roll up your sleeves and prepare to get messy.
Based on 4 servings, adjust as needed.
Defrost the pizza dough according to the instructions on the packaging.
Preheat your oven to 250Β°C.
Dust a work surface with flour and use the tips of your fingers to stretch the dough outwards from the centre, leaving a 1cm rim of slightly thicker dough on the outside. Once the dough is 15cm in diameter, feel free to try picking it up and stretch with your hands. Then, with your hand balled into a fist, use your knuckles to stretch the dough further. Try to stretch to 20cm in diameter without tearing it.
Transfer to a lined baking tray and spread a couple of tbsp of the pizza sauce around the base, leaving the 1cm of thicker dough bare around the rim. Top with a few slices of mozzarella and a few small dollops of βnduja paste. Bake your pizza in the hot oven for 8-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crusts are golden. You might need to rotate your pizza halfway through cooking to ensure even colour.
Top with fresh basil leaves and allow to cool slightly before slicing and digging in!
